Recently I've noticed that television is abusing the use of tv advertisements and it is affecting my experience of watching my favorite shows. Is it really necessary to advertise this much? I'm okay with just a couple of ads so that I can have a quick drink break or something. But 10 minutes of ads is just to much.
What's your opinion?
i agree! i think at a max 5 minutes is enough for an ad break
ReplyDeleteWell personally I agree that 10 minutes is way too much for an ad break. But there is a worse problem. During the show Top Gear they literally show about 6 minutes of the show then send it to advertisements. I mean they have gone TOO far! I like my ads to be brief yet not be longer than the tv show itself!
ReplyDelete10 minutes seems like a very long time but the more ads tv networks can cram inbetween your favourite shows, the more money they can make to keep the shows you enjoy on that station. I do although agree that ad breaks should be kept at a time limit of no more than 5 minutes. The worse channel for long ad breaks is 10 as alot of the time there are more ads than shows.
ReplyDeleteI agree as well, because I think the TV shows I watch is mostly full of ad breaks, which I hate! Also I think another problem is that somes ad's are repeated over and over in the same break, which can get very boring! TV channels should really spread out there ad's and not have as many during the break.
ReplyDeleteI don't watch TV, it's great! I feel so much better not being subjected to idiotic advertising during idiotic shows. It made me so cynical to see all these useless products being advertised that I eventually gave up watching it. The TV doesn't work at my new place because the aerial is old and it previously came through Foxtel. Not paying for Foxtel, so no TV. Do the same!!
ReplyDeleteespecially when the show is 30 minutes long and the show goes on for every 5 mins then it's the break. I find it exteamly annoying.
